Jonathan Stinchcomb is a former American football Pro Bowl offensive tackle who played eight seasons in the National Football League (NFL). Growing up, Stinchcomb was a decorated student-athlete who earned straight A’s while also being a member of Beta Club, Mu Alpha Theta, Latin Honor Society, and National Honor Society. He won the Silver Medal in the National Latin Exam competition and was named Student-Athlete of the South by the Sporting News and the Army ROTC. For his academic and athletic prowess, Stinchcomb was also named the Georgia High School Player of the Year Award as well as the Lineman of the Year.

Stinchcomb attended the University of Georgia from 1998 to 2001 where he played for the Bulldogs football team as a four-year starter. He arrived at UGA with an outstanding record of accomplishment after being named USA Today first-team All-America and being the 1998 recipient of the National Football Foundation High School Scholar-Athlete Award. While at Georgia, he was named a first-team All-American, Academic All-American, and an Academic All-SEC selection. Stinchcomb was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the 2nd round (37th overall) of the 2003 NFL Draft, and he achieved the ultimate goal in the NFL as a member of the 2010 New Orleans Saints Super Bowl XLIV Championship team. On September 22, 2011, he announced his retirement from the NFL.
